What a month it has been. February has turned out to be very busy. Between work, school, and life the month has flown by. Jeremy is taking the GMAT this month in preparation for applying to grad school this spring. He is nervous about it, but I know he will do well and I am so proud of all that he does. Two and half more months and he will be done with his Bachelors!!! So excited and ready for him to be home. He is going to take this summer off and just keep working nights. It will be so good to have him home to help with the new baby and just be able to spend time as a family!
Britton gets more and more funny each day. He is starting to become very opinionated on what he likes and what he doesn't. If he doesn't want to do something or doesn't like something he says "I can't not like that mommy" or "I can't not want to do that". It cracks me up every time. He is starting to become a picky eater (it's payback to me for being such a stubborn child when it came to food--go ahead and enjoy it mom!) He comes up with so many excuses as to why he can't eat and has started to gag himself if he doesn't want to eat. I hate it. He is convinced that there is a dinosaur living in our fireplace and because he is scared of it he can't do a lot of things. He can't nap, he can't eat, and he can't go to bed at night because he is sure the dinosaur is going to get him. Jeremy assured him that the dinosaur is trapped and cannot come out because daddy said so. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. We got him signed up for a pre-school this fall. He is going to be attending Mrs. Roger's Neighborhood pre-school. We went and visited his teacher Mrs. Teia and HE LOVED HER. He walked right into her house and into her play rooms. When we went to leave he cried and didn't want to go. I think it is going to be a good fit for us. He is really excited to go to and randomly asks if he can go to Mrs. Teia's house.
My pregnancy is going well. I am finally out of the nasty sick phase and feeling much better. This baby is an active one. I swear it's favorite thing to do is somersaults. Jeremy finally got to feel it move. Britton can't sit still long enough to feel it. We are now officially 21 weeks in to it and half-way there!! Here are some pictures of of our progress.
All of us at 20 weeks: Half-way there!!
We had our ultrasound today and found out that our baby is healthy, developing properly and a GIRL!!!! We are so excited. She is quite the modest little thing as it took the doctors about an hour to get good pictures of everything. She kept her arms and legs crossed so it took us a while to be able to see her heart and her lady parts! The doctor was basically beating me with the wand trying to get her to move positions and she is stubborn like her momma and stayed right where she wanted to be. Britton was quite concerned about the whole thing and kept saying, "Doctor, what you doing to my mommy?" He wasn't amused by the process, but it super excited to have a baby sister. I feel so much relief knowing that she is healthy and that there are no problems. I'm grateful for modern technology that allows us to know these things in advance. What a great time to be alive. Here are some pictures from our adventures today:
We are so grateful and feel so blessed for the miracles in our lives!
