November 2013

What a crazy month! I have been working like crazy and I feel like the last month flew by. I have lots to catch up on so here we go:

I was able to go and volunteer at Britton's class for his Halloween party. It was fun to go and watch him interact at school. I was very impressed when the teacher sat the kids in a circle to read a story that Brit sat still through the whole thing and listened to every word. I need her to give me her secrets on how she does that :)  Here are some pics from our adventures that day:

I was surprised he put the mask on

For comparison purposes I put this picture in...this is what he does at home when I ask him to sit still and do something.  LOVE THIS BOY!

Savannah continues to grow and eat us out of house and home. At her 4 month appt she weighed in at 13 lbs. I took her to the doctor last week (poor thing has been sick) and she weighed in at 15 lbs 10 oz. In 6.5 weeks she gained almost 3 lbs. She is a chunk and I love it! She is beginning to become more happy and less fussy. She can almost sit up on her own and LOVES her jumper. She bounces like crazy in it.

November is both Jeremy and my birthday month. I turned 30 this year and am now officially old:)  My twenties were really good to me. I was able to serve a mission, graduate from college twice, get married, have two babies, get my dream job, and have some of the best experiences of my life thus far. The bar was set really high and I am not sure that my 30's are going to be as busy. Maybe that's a good thing though...time will tell! Jeremy turned 29 (he likes to remind me that he is MUCH younger than me) and we had a good time celebrating his birthday. He likes the Hunger Games series so we were able to go on a date just the two of us and see the movie. It was good and I really enjoyed just having some down time with my man.

We had a really good Thanksgiving. We spent it with Jeremy's parents and had a nice dinner. Over the Holiday weekend we got all our Christmas shopping done and put up our decorations. I convinced Jeremy to let us get a real one this year and we are loving it! I love the smell of pine in our house and Britton LOVES it. He asks us to tell him Merry Christmas and he hugs the tree several times a day. We bought some ornaments for the tree and he called them "jingle bells". There are red jingle bells, green jingle bells, and yellow jingle bells. Tonight he asked to sleep by it so we got him all tucked in. He is so excited for Christmas this year. It is really fun to watch him be so excited.

I love this time of year. I am thankful for the spirit that Thanksgiving and Christmas bring. I am grateful for the family time that comes with the holidays. I am grateful for a 3 year old who brings so much light and life into our lives...even if he is a little wild at times. I love my little family and am so thankful for them. These three are seriously my life!
