End of Summer Fun 2014

The last two months have been exciting and busy!  We have been enjoying our last little bit of summer playing at the park and being with family. I didn't write in July because I was sick for most of it!  We had a little surprise in finding out we were pregnant again so soon. We thought for sure we would have to go back for fertility treatments like we had to with Sav. We started trying in June thinking we would try until January and then go back to the doctor at the beginning of the year. Things happened faster and easier than we expected and 4 weeks later I started getting sick.  I do not understand my body, but I am so thankful that we did not have to do the treatments again. I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to have another precious baby on the way.  We had our first appointment this week and everything looks good. I will be 12 weeks pregnant on Monday! Britton already has names picked out for the baby and is looking forward to having another sibling. If the baby is a boy Britton wants to name him Sharptooth. If it is a girl he thinks the name should be Toad. Equally beautiful I think. I don't have the heart to tell him we are not choosing either of these names. We showed him the ultrasound picture and his response was, "Looks like a sharptooth". He wants a brother!!

My parents came out in August to spend a week with us. We loved seeing them. We went to Idaho and visited my dad's dad. Then we went to Logan to run the Top of Utah Half Marathon. I was not expecting to be 10+ weeks pregnant when I signed up for the race, but I wanted to do it.  I have not run a half marathon since right before Jeremy and I got married (almost 6 years ago).  I ran that race in 2 hours and 6 minutes which was a personal best. I ran this one in 2 hours and 13 minutes which I thought was pretty good for not training like I should, having 2 kids, and being so sick :)  I was proud of myself. I now know I can still do it and don't need to do another one for a while! Here's some pics of our adventures

In Idaho--best shot I could get of the stinkers

Feeding the ducks and laughing hysterically about it

We survived!!

My dad is a trooper!

Baby B #3 can say he/she ran their first half at 10.5 weeks of gestation!!

Our cool medals!

Britton had his first dentist appointment this week. He was a little nervous about it, but handled it like a champ. He did not like it when they scraped his teeth and kept pushing the hygienist out of his mouth with his tongue. He didn't have any cavities though so we were proud of him!

I got this mom!

Watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates while getting your teeth cleaned isn't too bad!

I am a little sad that summer is drawing to a close. We very much enjoyed Jeremy being out of school the past three months. We had a lot of family time and I am grateful for that. Britton starts pre-school again next week and I cannot believe that time is going by so quickly. Somehow I have to figure out how to keep everyone little for a bit longer!
