Spring/Easter 2016--Kylen's 1st Birthday

I love spring!! I love that winter is over and the sun is starting to come out. It makes me happy. We have had a great month, full of good memories and family time.

Britton continues to be a good kid and grow and develop. He cracks us up on a daily basis. He has a heart of pure gold.

Jersey Day at school

His ninja turtle shampoo he found at the store and had to have

He is getting really tall and eating a ton. He ate half a pizza by himself!

He is so good to Sav and puts up with her constantly being in his space

At literacy night at school we got to read the book that he wrote and illustrated by himself--It was about Panda Bears and we are so proud of him!

Sav is really starting to come out of the toddler stage and turn into a little girl. She is funnier than heck and way smart. She is very independent and has to do everything by herself. The other day she tried to pour herself a glass of apple juice by herself. Half of it ended up on the floor, but she refused to let me help saying...I got it mom!  She is the perfect combination of rough and tumble girly girl.

She loves to do hair--Styling Mama Renee

Looking good after a hair style by Savannah

Still into dress up

She loves to be in the driver's seat...she makes me nervous!

Wrestling with brother in her Minnie dress--perfectly fits this little girls personality

Our sweet Kylen turned one this past month. I cannot believe how quickly this last year has flown by. My baby is growing up and I hate it and love it at the same time. We had a great day celebrating him. He is such a champ and let his brother choose his cake and shared his day with Savannah who was convinced it was her birthday as well (she is adamant that she is 5).

His cake--Britton was sure he wanted a dinosaur cake :)

Wouldn't sit still for pictures in front of his gifts

Opening presents with help from Bubba

Sharing his toys because he is the best

LOVING his cake!

Not happy that he had to have a bath after his cake!!

Kylen loves to be outside and play. He is a binki baby and has to have one in his mouth and a couple in his hand. He is starting to get one of his front teeth which brings him to a whopping total of three teeth. This does not stop him from eating everything in sight. He is solid and we love it!
Playing in the grass

Taking a walk

When one binki is not enough put one in your mouth and one in each hand!

These kids are the best and we love them. We had the chance to visit Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point with my roommate from BYU-Idaho and had a great time. Savannah loves animals and was in heaven the whole time. She is now convinced that she needs a pony. Her daddy doesn't think she does and won't buy her one, but papa Kirk has offered if we move back to Illinois at any point. She is holding out hope for that!

Sav trying to reach and pet the bunnies

Britton looking at the ponies

No clue what she is doing--but loving her enthusiasm!!

Petting her pony

Look at that smile!

Britton enjoyed it but afterwards stated that the is allergic to ponies--lol...he really is not allergic, but he is not an outdoorsy boy so he says he is

Holding Ky on a wagon ride

Love these hams

Kylen loving being outside and playing in the rocks

Family Temple Trip. Love that we can be an eternal family!!

Easter Sunday this year took on a special meaning. This past week I lost a cousin unexpectedly and tragically. He was only 26 years old. It was the week after Easter Sunday and it made me remember and be grateful for the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know with all my heart that my cousin's spirit still exists and that he will be reunited with his family after this life. I am grateful for that knowledge and for the temple ordinances that bind families together forever.
